People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA), in keeping to its vision of “A safe and equal society intolerant of all forms of violence against women and girls in all their diversity, where they are treated with respect and dignity and their rights are promoted “ would like to assist the victims of Gender Based violence to able to report and have access to assistance at the click of a button.
The proposed Mobile App complements the already existing Department of Social Development (DSD) GBV Command Centre. The victims will be able to log complaint, Emergency call, using location based services the solution will be would location the victim and through the integrated DSD GBV Centre, assign emergency services, Police Services or a Social Worker.
